In September of 1885 the Cincinnati Commercial Gazette reported that Farny planned to spend a month traveling about Western New York and Warren, Pennsylvania. It seems likely he also visited his deceased love in Jamestown, which he reportedly did annually (and where he married Ann Ray in 1906).

While in Warren, the Warren Mail noted that Farny had sketched locals Will Schnur and W.A. Geaves. The works were put on display at the local Exchange Hotel. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to locate any sketches with those names.
