The comedic opera “Lawn Tennis”, written by playwright Benjamin E. Woolf, premiered in Boston in late 1880 to good reviews. The second act of the play included a operettina titled “Djakh & Djill”. A December 20, 1880, article in the Cincinnati Commercial noted that Farny had an illustration for the Opera. Whether that was an illustration that was included in the play, or one within the playbill, or one in some other manner is unclear, but apparently it was a scene from the operettina between “Djakh & Djill”.
