1883-02: Cincinnati Flood Illustrations

The winter flood of 1883 was a historic event. Up and down the Ohio river water devastated cities and towns. Being on the scene in Cincinnati, Farny had two of his sketches of the flood end up in Harpers Weekly.

The first image appeared in the February 24, 1883, issue of Harpers, page 116:

The second illustration was published on the cover of the March 03, 1883, issue of Harpers:
