In 1887, Author D. M. Kelsey released a 672 page book Our Pioneer Heroes and their Daring Deeds. Covering a wide number of famous people of the time, Farny contributed at least two illustrations to the book. He used his “Symbol” mark in both.
Henry Farny and Armand Welcker are two artists given credit for the book, though given the numerous illustrations, there were likely others as well, especially since I could only identify the two illustrations by Farny. The published date of the book is 1887, but it appears the finished manuscript was completed in 1882. Less clear is whether these images were created before or after Kelsey finished the book.
The first image appears on page 225 with the caption “Wentzel’s Escape from the Guard“:

The second image appears forty pages later on page 295 with the caption “The White Squaw’s Shot“:

The Farny’s two pictures also appear on the lower right and lower left of an 1887 flyer that’s currently in the possession of the National Portrait Gallery:
