The Cincinnati Dramatic Festival was held in the city’s Music Hall April 30-May 5, 1883. As early as late March that year, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer, Farny was at work on several sketches of the event for Harpers Magazine. The paper claimed he would be filling four pages of the magazine with Dramatic Festival Content. However, I can only find three total, which appear in two different issues.
