1883-07: Striking Oil Illustrations

In October of 1882, The Warren Mail noted that Farny was spending time with writer Eugene V. Smalley on a project for Century Magazine regarding oil wells in Pennsylvania.

The project resulted in a piece that appeared in the July 1883 issue of Century. Farny has eight illustrations in the article.
